Org Chart

The Org Chart shows your organization as a reporting hierarchy, built from the direct-report relationships recorded in ActivityPulse. It is available to administrators and managers under People → Org Chart.

What it shows

• Reporting hierarchy. Each person appears as a card under the manager they report to. People at the top (who report to no one) are the roots of the chart. Click the chevron on a card to collapse or expand that person’s reports.
• Teams overlaid on the hierarchy. Because teams and reporting lines are independent, a single team’s members can report to different managers. Each card is color-coded by team and labeled with a team chip. Use the Teams legend at the top to switch individual teams on or off — selected teams stay colored, and people whose teams are all switched off fade back. Someone who belongs to more than one team shows a stacked color bar and multiple chips.
• Multiple managers. If a person reports to more than one manager, they appear under each, marked so you can tell the card is shown in more than one place.
• Unassigned. Teammates who are neither a manager nor anyone’s report are listed in an Unassigned group below the chart.

Working with a person

Click a person’s name to open a summary with their email, teams, who they report to, and how many direct reports they have. From there, View in Teammates jumps to that person in the Teammates list.

Where the data comes from

The chart is built from the direct-report relationships you manage under People → Direct Reports (and from each manager’s My Direct Reports page), combined with team membership. To change the hierarchy, edit those direct-report relationships; the Org Chart updates to match.
